I admit it, I’ve been slack in keeping up with my long-time blog, Simply Splendiferous. I started it in 2009 as a means to record my recipes and to encourage me to illustrate more. And for many years I worked away, posting fairly regularly but at a leisurely pace. I won commissions from clients who followed it and met many lovely, lovely foodies but then my design work got busier, I got involved (happily I add) with more community activities and my blog got neglected. And then the host provider lost its content. Now, in March 2022, I’ve decided to incorporate Simply Splendiferous blog with my personal creative website so I can have more control in one place. After all, I like to think that cooking is part of my creativity. I’ll reissue some favourite old posts (I did have duplicates of the illustrations - always have a back-up folks) but not every post I did will make it and there’s no loss to that. It’ll be fun (I’m hoping) but it will be slow to scroll back in time, see what I find and decide whether or not to repost it. I still cook the recipes that I’ve shared over the past 13 years. Perhaps you do too!
I hope you’ll be patient while I revisit and restore some older posts and get my head around a new design. I’m looking forward to mixing up my food based posts with some of my creative and gardening activities. It’ll be more interesting for me and hopefully for you too. Here’s to going forward!
